A Motorsport Lofts garage loft is deeded commercial real estate. That means it carries the ownership advantages of any well-positioned commercial asset: appreciation potential, 1031 exchange eligibility, LLC ownership for liability and privacy, and the option to lease long-term to another collector.
The way we structure the purchase matters too. Your contract allocates price between the shell (long-life) and the finishes (short-life), which gives your CPA a clean starting point to take depreciation on the shorter-life portion sooner.
